My name is Chutima (my nickname is Nok) and I love to cook, particularly Thai dishes.

I’m originally from Thailand. My dad and I moved to Los Angeles from Bangkok in 1979 where he was a chef at the first Thai restaurant in the U.S. After a few years we moved up to the Bay Area and opened The Bangkok Taste Thai restaurant in San Jose in 1993 and where I learned from my dad and began cooking Thai dishes.

Over a period of twenty years I owned The Bangkok Taste, managing the restaurant as well as helping with the cooking. I created the menu with over 50 dishes including soups, entrees and desserts. And with this website I want to share the cooking videos I’ve created as well as recipes on preparing the tastiest of Thai dishes as well as sharing occasional other lifestyle experiences including travel.
